Our mission is to simplify and amplify the work of farmer by providing Himalayan Organic Limited aims to promote safe food production and practices.

Objectives

The overall objective of Himalayan Organic Limited is to reduce poverty, promote safe food production, enhance food security, and empower smallholder farmers, deprived and disadvantaged communities of Nepal. The specific objectives are:

• To promote commercial high-value agriculture, livestock and agro-processing activities based on local specific comparative and competitive advantage production,
• Supply and delivery of agriculture mechanization, agri inputs and output market linkage,
• To introduce production technologies healthy and safe food production,
• To design and deliver specialized extension/advisory services to support decision-making process of the farmers, and
• To provide capacity building, training and tools and technology to local farmer community groups.

KEY RESULTS, PARTNERS AND COLLABORATORS

Since 2016, HOL is providing affordable, durable and optimally useful to small and larger-scale farms. Some of the highlighted results and actions are listed below:

• Production of grafted vegetable and fruits seedlings that are considered as High value agriculture product in Sindhuli and Lalitpur district.
• Developed micro content and crop scheduling information for different geographical region.
• Provide extension services to the targeted farmers community including setting up nursery, training on grafted plants, organic fertilizer & bio-pesticides like Jholmal, vermicompost, biochar, drip irrigation, soil-cement water tank and low cost agriculture tunnel plastic polyhouse.
• Provide managed nursery, commercial agriculture and fruit farms.
• Strengthened capacity of technician, farmers groups, farmers cooperative and official representatives in providing extension services for sustainable agriculture development.
• Develop knowledge products on agriculture and livestock commodities in collaboration with national and international development organization.
